Dr Shao is a fully qualified dermatologist with broad interests, including treating complex medical dermatology, paediatric dermatology, hair and scalp conditions, and cosmetic dermatology. This includes treating acne, rosacea, psoriasis, pigmentary conditions, sweating, inflammatory and autoimmune disorders, genital conditions and more.

She graduated from the University of Queensland (UQ) and undertook her dermatology training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, the Princess Alexandra Hospital, the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, and the Queensland Children’s Hospital. She gained further international experience at the world-renowned National Skin Centre in Singapore. Dr Shao holds a public appointment at the Prince Charles Hospital’s Heart and Lung Transplant Unit, is an Associate Lecturer at UQ, and is involved in the education and training of future medical professionals.
